Crazy!

Wow, I can't believe my little boy is going to be one tomorrow!  At this time last year I was joking about giving birth to a toddler due to his estimated weight and now I really have a toddler!  This was by far the fastest year of my life!  I was also not thrilled about the time I had to get up to go to the hospital, I think that is my normal wake up time now – who would have ever thought I would be out of bed at 5:30?

I know that I haven't posted in a long time, but I have had my hands full with our little stinker.  He has been crawling for months but still isn't too interested in walking.  He loves to hold your fingers and walk and he cruises around the furniture and the ottoman, but if you let go he just dives.  More like a face plant – on the one hand at least he knows that I will catch him, but it would be fun if he was walking.  Not that I am concerned, he can already reach the door knobs, he just doesn't know what to do with them.

So a little about Luke….  He loves bath tub time and banging his toys together, he finally clapped at New Years so that is pretty exciting too.  Not much can beat grilled cheese sandwiches and Grandma Kathy's banana choc chip muffins.  He is a really fast crawler and loves to play with doors and drawers, until the door latches that is.  He isn't saying too much that we can understand, though he is constantly blabbing about something.   He says something that sounds like "Hey, DAD" quite a bit and "momma", but not really at us.  At Christmas time with all the lights he was pointing and saying something that sounded like "See?" and now he says something like "go, go, go" when he crawls up the stairs.  He is currently 27 pounds and 29 inches tall.  He also had his first hair cut a couple of weeks ago, that didn't go too bad, but he wanted to watch what she was doing… but he still has two ears and less shaggy hair – can't complain!

Needless to say we are having an absolute blast with him and we couldn't be more thankful for our beautiful happy little Luke-y.  I will try to get some more pictures up here tomorrow of him enjoying his giant cupcake.
