My Crib, Not So Bad!

Hey everyone, it is me Luke.  Mom and Dad get to post all the time and it is my turn.  I wanted to let you all know that I finally convinced Mommy to put me in my crib on my tummy, just the way I like it.  So I napped that way since Tuesday when Grandma Rosie put me that way.  But last night I got Dad to put me on my tummy too.  So I didn't really want to go to bed last night since I napped so good yesterday, but around 12:30 last nigh I decided Mommy was looking a little tired so I went to sleep and slept in my crib until 4:30 and then I ate and went back in my crib until 8:30 this morning.  My Mommy was really happy with all the sleep that she got last night.

Everything else is good around here, we had Jaime and Leon over to play today, but I fell asleep.  Tonight Mommy says that she is going to put me in my bath tub for the first time since my umbilical cord fell off this week I can take a real bath.  I hate those sponge baths, but Mommy thinks that is because it is cold, so maybe I will like a real bath.  I guess we are going to find out

Happy Valentine's Day and maybe Daddy will put a new Valentine's picture up tomorrow.  We are going to have a romantic dinner with the Malecha's and Siverson's tomorrow.  I'm not sure what romantic dinner means, is that where I wake up right when dinner is ready, because I do that everyday!

2 Weeks Old!!

I can't believe our little squeeker is 2 weeks old today!

This is a big week for us, Ryan went back to work this week, which has made things a little harder on me, he was great with making sure we kept eating and had clean clothes (yes, he learned how to use those big machines in the basement :))  So my down time is a lot less this week, but thankfully Grandma Rosie came yesterday and changed the sheets on our bed and I got a shower.  I changed to a fresh pair of sweatpants and T-shirt and even brushed my teeth, it was fabulous.  She also put Luke in his crib and he slept there!!!!  YEAH!  so he is nappig in his crib right now.  I am a bad mom in that he is sleeping on his stomach, but sleeping is the key word.  He can hold up his head and roll to his side so I think we should be okay.

So I am going to snag a nap while Luke is taking one.

WOW!

Hello Everyone – Thank you so much for all your well wishes and prayers.  We are doing great!

Luke is sleeping really well (on My Chest) and mostly ok (in his swing) and not at all (in his crib!)

Some of you may have noticed Luke's big tube in the pictures, he was a little jaundiced when he came home so he was on a light therapy tube.  Sorta like a cummerbund (Mom is that how you spell it?)  It really bothered me more than it bothered him.  But it was a real pain for diaper changes and feeding and stuff.  We still have it, we had a doctor appointment this morning and we are waiting for his test results, but I am pretty sure we will be done with it today.

Fun Facts about Luke: he hates having his diaper changed, but hates having it wet or dirty too.  Loves having his head rubbed or hair washed, and he has a perfect circle cowlick on the front of his head.  He has small ears and nose and long fingers and toes 🙂

Alright, he is actually sleeping, in his crib (first time ever) so I am going to steal a nap too!

UPDATE: Luke's Bilirubin level is in the acceptable range, no more light machine!
